Anne Hathaway looked anything but miserable in this daringly cut, pearl encrusted Givenchy dress at the premiere of her new film Les Miserables.

The unusual backless dress divided fashion opinion with not everybody loving the look. We'll give it, and her, a thumbs up for sheer chutzpah.

Anne lost a huge amount of weight and cropped her long brunette locks to play starving prostitute Fantine in the movie adaptation of the stage musical, itself an adaptation of Victor Hugo's classic novel.
